Isentris for Excel | Printer Friendly    
As part of the MDL® Isentris® system, Isentris for Excel enables scientists to access, browse, collate, manage and share scientific data from a diverse range of public and proprietary data sources in the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet environment. Researchers can export data from their data sources, insert structures and data in existing spreadsheets, sort, pivot and manipulate structures in Excel, share data with colleagues and perform substituent decomposition SAR analysis.

Supported workflows include:
  • Add chemical information and structures to existing Excel spreadsheets
  • Export data from multiple existing data sources into Excel
  • Import SDfiles and XDfiles; search, browse, filter and perform list logic before reporting results into Excel
  • Find related data from multiple sources and enrich existing data sheets
  • Create automatically formatted Excel reports that include charts, pivots and calculations including Rgroup decomposition
  • Import multiple SDfile or XDfiles, clean chemical structures, annotate and insert additional calculated data before exporting as an SDfile or XDfile for use with software
  • Create chemical business rules and chemical calculators that can be used as Excel functions to clean up and process chemical structures in Excel spreadsheets
  • Find related data, export to Spotfire DecisionSite, visualize, filter and report results back to Excel

Combining Excel and Isentris functionality enables researchers to comfortably access, analyze, present and share project information in the familiar Excel data management and analysis environment.

Using Isentris for Excel, researchers can use external calculators to add related information to their spreadsheets in support of decision-making and SAR analysis (including Rgroup decomposition provided by MDL® Cheshire® software). The resulting spreadsheets are readily sharable with colleagues.

Export results into Excel templates to auto-format data into your desired views. Use Excel to automatically add column filtering, pivoting, freeze panes, calculated columns, conditional formatting and graphical representation to accelerate information processing and improve data analysis.
